This portrait of bearded man is located at the very end of the 17th century, in the entourage of Pier Francesco Mola (1612-1666), Italian painter and dominant figure of the neo-Venetian current in Rome where he settles definitively in 1647. This figure is of a realism close to Ribera and of great dramatic intensity.
