"Sormani - Mahogany & Brass Veneered Jewelry Box, Signed, France Circa 1860"
Large jewelery box, mahogany, brass and amaranth veneer.

Beautiful 19th century luxury production, made in Paris in the 1850-60's. Signature of Sormani, established 12 rue rue du Temple in Paris.
Sormani is one of the most famous cabinet makers in Paris at the end of 19th century. He was provider of the Emperor Napoleon III.

The central cartridge on top holds a SE monogram engraved.

Our box has been restored ; cleaned varnish and new silk inside the box.
