"The Changing Of The Guard 1870 Military Scene Soldiers"
Very beautiful oil on canvas depicts the changing of the guard in the north of France around 1870. To bring closer to the works of the painter Charles Castellani (1838-1913) painter who notably represented soldiers during the winter of 1870. The color of the uniforms especially the very lively (and infamous) red trousers of the soldiers in the foreground slice sharply with the greyness of the sky and heaps that can be seen in the distance. Signed and monogrammed EB in red at the bottom left and at the bottom right respectively. This beautiful painting from a mansion next to Dinard, has a rich color palette (its colors are more authentic in reality than the photos). Old restorations and relining. Size of the painting: 46 cm x 38 cm (size 8 F) Dimensions with the frame: 61 cm x 52 cm The painting is delivered in its original frame of wood and gilded stucco which suits him well in spite of some stucco deficiencies visible on photos. Shipping in metropolitan France included in the price. Possibility of delivery by hand. Many other objects to discover in my booth Salons in which I participate.
