"Child And Frog - French School Around 1830"
Period: 19th - 1830 Subject: Interior scene of an opulent house, certainly an office-library, in which are a woman and her young child, looking at a frog going up a ladder in a jar. This small, almost humorous scene remains totally in the spirit of the time. The piece is composed of a marble or plaster sculpture, a decorated pipe, another wooden sculpture of a man's face, and a collection of shells arranged pell-mell on the shelf . Painter / School: French School circa 1820/30. Condition: Perfect condition. Framing and support: Oil on its original canvas. Frame from the golden era to the leaf. Dimensions: 36 x 31 cm without frame
