Secretary Louis XVI rosewood veneer, satin and purple wood, stamped PF Guignard 1740 - 1794, Master January 21, 1767. Master's letter JME It opens with a drawer at the top, two leaves down and a black leather-wrapped flap revealing lockers and six small drawers. It is decorated with Greek-style nets and interlacing with boxwood and amaranth. The uprights are flat with a gilt bronze drop and a rosette. The sides are decorated with nets and marquetry. He rests on straight feet. The bottom rails are cut in the corners. The front one is embellished with a cul-de-lamp. Handles ring falling, gilt bronze locks entries. Gray veined marble top with a throat. Eighteenth century.
