"Suite Four Armchairs Cabriolets, Carved And Gilded, Louis XVI"
Suite of four armchairs cabriolets, carved and gilded wood, redorés Beautiful and rich suite of four armchairs "plaid" (that is to say "cushion") having probably been part - formerly - of a rich living room also composed of seats with backrest to the queen (armchairs, sofa etc ...). Of very beautiful invoice, these seats with medallions files are of pure Louis XVI style. In neoclassicism, the carpenter, who did not sign his work, borrowed the purity of the geometric lines, the medallion file, the almost round seat, the rosette connection dice, the flute and rudenture feet, as well as the Ornaments arranged in a frieze in the wood moldings, interlacing and twisted ribbons. Taking care of his work, he created beautiful junctions between the woods of the seat and the backrest, highlighted by acanthus. The top transom of the backrest and the crosspiece of the seat are also proud of geometric cartridges occupied by flowers treated with natural. This rich furniture has been restored, redecorated, patinated and replenished with a modern cloth with rooster's foot and double braid. Sun (H x W x D): 87 x 58 x 50 cm
