Good condition, with signs of wear on the frame, see photos. Edouard Fromentin was a scholar born in Valenciennes in 1833 and died in 1927. Painter he was notably: Honorary Secretary of Hospices - Honorary President of the Association des Former Students of Academies - Member of the Administrative Commission of the Library - Honorary President of the Communal Academy of Painting Sculpture Architecture Engraving and Museums of the City - Honorary Member of the Society of the Incas. He maintained all his life very close relations with the artistic world, reports that he recorded in 3 main books that he bequeathed to his hometown: The Valenciennes School - Men and things of Valenciennes - The streets of Valenciennes .
