"Oil On Canvas: Bouquet Of Flowers."
Large and beautiful canvas representing a sumptuous bouquet of flowers in a vase placed on an entablature and background decorated with drapes. The back of the canvas bears the inscription: "Trianon door top by JB Monnoyer. Copy by Lucien Pallandre. November 1902". This beautiful composition is in very good condition, just two small strokes of paint, and although very bright, it deserves a cleaning to get even more radiance. Old frame in gilded stucco, some gaps in the corners. This work could ideally find its place above a large hunting table or in a monumental staircase. Canvas: 150 cm x 106 cm. Frame: 168 cm x 124 cm. Lucien Pallandre was the brother of the flower painter Léon Albert Pallandre born in Versailles on April 25, 1870 and the son of Henri Léon Pallandre born in Paris in 1831, who was a painter in Sèvres and Limoges.
