Object description :

"Hermès, Flying Mercury, High Bronze, Nineteenth, Base Marble"
Large bronze with dark patina representing Mercury, the messenger of the gods, after the extraordinary statue of John of Boulogne, (1580) today at the Bargello Museum in Florence.
Our edition is an old cast, probably circa 1840, cast in three parts (see the last photo), the junctions are still visible under the patina. The statue is hoisted on a high base of carved white marble, which ensures stability. Dimensions: Total height: 68cm, bronze only: 43cm, diameter of the base: 15cm. Sorry, we will not export out of Europe.
