"Floor Lamp Georges Thirion (1882-1946)"
Wrought iron floor lamp with tripod base and winding decoration, supporting a colored glass paste cut (purple, green and orange tones) enhanced by a belt with a lilac decoration at the top. Georges Thirion is a blacksmith of art. After learning the techniques of ironwork in Paris in 1900, he moved to Le Creusot where he worked at drilling the chisels Schneider factories. But above all, he settles down as an art locksmith craftsman and makes his own art deco-inspired works and will gain his notoriety by realizing what seemed impossible at the time: the forge of lilac flowers.
