Object description :

"Antique Figure Clock, Circa 1780"
Pendulum, white marble and blue turquin, gilt bronze, numbered eighteenth century movement, Louis XVI period. Sun. (H x W x D): 38 x 32 x 12 cm. The clock depicts a woman draped in the Antique holding a lyre resting on the marble drum. Love offers him a dove, standing on a pedestal. The two figures are installed on pedestals of blue turquin with asparagus of gilded bronze. The set is set against a base of Carrara white adorned with a row of pearls, friezes and a bas-relief animated by children agitated around altars. Marble accidents and lacks in gilded bronze, especially pearls.
