big bronze bell alone 30 cm high and 25 cm in diameter! it has a very beautiful sound WEIGHT: about 14 kg it is very decorated notament of the cartridge of the bell foundry! For the record: In 1900, Charles Wauthy recovers the family foundry (founded in 1729) of his neighbor Charles Drouot, who had no heir. His business was already flourishing. Indeed, from 1890 to 1900, more than 2,000 bells weighing together 628 tons had been melted. There were 16 bells weighing 9 tons together for Canada, two bells weighing 510 kilograms together for Rome, a 350 kilogram bell for Jerusalem, a 736 kilogram chime for England, and so on. Under the impetus of Wauthy, the foundry's fame will quickly explode, thanks to the 220 workers employed in 1906. Among them: founders, blacksmiths, modelers, molders and laborers. this foundry ceased to operate in 1939.
