Object description :

"Portrait Of A Young Woman "in The Collar Of Pearl"."
PORTRAIT OF A YOUNG WOMAN "IN THE COLLAR OF PEARL". Very nice bill for this oil on oak panel monoxyle. French School Anonymous from the beginning of the 17th century. Upholstered reverse molded gilded wood frame and black lacquered posterior (19th). This elegant Princess in Renaissance costume, with blonde hair and pearls necklace whose coat of arms remains to be identified, is very likely part of a set of portraits under woodwork in the gallery of a castle. Detail of the comment of an Expert of the period who saw it recently. Indeed, the absence of chamfer on the panel seriously suggests this provenance. Inventory label. Dim of the panel: l33xht38x1.3ep Frame: 51x53x5.5 Note: tiny paintwork on the epaulette, see photo, approx 2 mm. Feel free to ask me for more details or inform me if you can identify the Coat of Arms.
