Impressionist painting early twentieth signed lower right * Jules René HERVE (1887-1981) and countersigned on the back by the artist, oil painting on panel depicting an animated view of Paris located near the Opera Square in front of the Palais Garnier. Montparnasse vintage style frame in patinated carved wood. Good condition, Dimensions: * Jules René Hervé (1887-1981) is a French impressionist painter, he is known for his paintings depicting scenes of Parisian life bathed in light, he began his artistic studies in Paris in the School of Arts Decorative then at the School of Fine Arts, he is the student of Fernand Cormon and Jules Adler. He then exhibited his works for the first time at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1910 and received a first silver medal in 1914 and a gold medal in 1925. Jules René Hervé interprets his scenes with great sensitivity, putting all his heart into his work, all his artistic sensitivity is assured by incredible blows of light and color, he is expert in small bright shards on gray or ocher skillfully distributed, Paris seen by Hervé is a poetic city. Jules René Hervé is considered "the last of the Impressionists" his paintings are now preserved in many museums in France, the Petit Palais in Paris, Langres, Dijon, Saint-Etienne, Tourcoing, Annecy and abroad, at the Chicago Museum and Casablanca.
