Scented Box In Marquetry Wood Rose And Ivory

Rich marquetry work embellished with ivory decorations punctuated with carved flower buds. The interior trimmed with silk hosts a pair of crystal bottles carved in a rich frame, decorated with foliage, golden pomponne. The caps, which are octagonal, are decorated with a miniature representing each a monument of Paris. Each bottle, cut at the corners, has its removable inner cap (not blocked). Dimensions: Box: 12.7 cm X 7.5 cm Height: 8.5 cm Flasks: Height: 6 cm including frame and 3.5 cm side. The box is in very good condition, no lack is to be deplored either inlay or on ivory decorations. Given his age and his function, his inner state is obviously not perfect. Dirt, wear of silk, traces of use visible in the photos. The bottles are in good condition despite some traces of age on the miniatures.
