Object description :

"Sugar Paris Porcelain, Manufacture Foëscy (cher)"
Sugar Paris porcelain, Manufacture Foëscy. Dominique Andre: owner in 1825. From 1832 to 1836, the deposit is located at No. 5, passing Violet (Faubourg Poissonnière). In 1836, moving at 41, rue des Petites stables. It is hard to find parts from the factory with certainty, first because of exports often white (USA), and for the reason that whites remained in France were mostly brand designers. The Museum of Sevres sugar retains a very interesting double lid, covering both brand Perche, green, and that of the "Manufacture of Foëscy, No. 5 passing Purple FB Poissonière to Paris." (References: "Pottery and porcelain of Paris" by Régine of Plinval of Guillebon). Our sugar has this brand of No. 5 passing Violet .... A handle glued, wear to gilding the lid and handles.
