"Louis XV Around 1725, After Jb Van Loo, Eighteenth Time"
Portrait of young King Louis XV aged about 15 in armor. It is girded with the large blue moiré cord of the Holy Spirit and carries on the right shoulder a dark blue part of the royal mantle on which appear lily flowers. This portrait of the young King, called "the Beloved", thus represented, is of those in foot or bust painted by JB Van Loo or in his entourage. Painting on canvas in very good condition after receiving a light cleaning by a professional. Frame of the late eighteenth wooden with its original gilding. Rentoilage and recent chassis. Dimensions: Overall: 69 cm x 58 cm Canvas: 57.3 cm x 47.3 cm
