"Hallmarked Furniture F. Lesage"
Large box office furniture nineteenth Napoleon III stamped F. LESAGE in Paris (signature appearing several times, on most parts of assembly) it has a slightly curved structure of solid mahogany and rosewood veneer frame amaranth, richly adorned with finely chiseled gilded bronzes decorated in a Regency style register animated with wildlife heads, led cornice underlined by a bronze mold framing the tray in Campan marble mix. The facade opens with six drawers grained leather decorated with small golden irons. The set rests on four arched legs with Rocaille windings with gilded bronze acanthus leaves, connected by scalloped crosspieces. Furniture proposed in a satisfactory state, leather facade to revive and to maintain in light polish. Dimensions: 1 m 22 high X 67 cm wide X 35 cm deep. F.LESAGE stamp for François Lesage (1796-1867) active in Paris and located at 70 rue Amelot and 91 rue Truffaut, after 1850 he became a supplier of Emperor Napoléon III
