Beautiful original watercolor, height 30 cm x width 22.50 cm (on drawing paper height 39.50 cm x width 30 cm), signed lower "MOLTZHEIM". Perfect state of conservation. Period late 19th century. This watercolor is part of a collection painted between 1875 and 1881. Auguste Louis Victor of Moltzheim (1822-1881) volunteered at the age of 18 to the artillery train, appointed lieutenant to the artillery corps in 1854, he participates in the campaign of Crimea in 1855, appointed to the rank of captain in 1860, campaign of Algeria 1860-1861, Knight in the order of the Legion of Honor in 1869.
