"Young Man, After Correggio (xviè), Early Nineteenth."
Charming portrait of a young man of the Italian Renaissance in the sixteenth century. The original portrait of the personal collection of King Louis XIV, preserved in the Louvre Museum since the Revolution, was long attributed to Raphael (1483-1520). Portrait attributed later to Francesco Mazzola said El Parmigianino, Parmesan (Parma 1503-1540), and recently as being in fact a work of the painter of the same School of Parma El Corregio, said Correggio. (Parma 1489-1534). Original carved wooden frame and gilded stucco from the early nineteenth / Painting in very good condition, réentoilée, chassis changed.
