"Necklace Old Neglected Silver"
Neglected ollier consisting of an alternating curb chain retaining a motif consisting of Hymenée torches enclosed by a knot, the whole being set with pyrite and a green stone in the center. It retains as a tassel and asymmetrically 2 garlands of flowers each held by a knot, all set with pyrite and small colored stones cut in drop and set with millegrains. The clasp of the chain is a spring ring. Period: 19th century
Main material: silver, 925 thousandths, ram's head punch.
Proportions: Total length of the necklace: 52.8 cm, width of the mesh: 1.8 mm. Width of the central motif: 3,5 cm, total length of the motifs: 8,5 cm, thickness of the motifs at the widest: 4,8 mm.
Net weight: 18,5 g approximately.
Old necklace - Work of the second half of the nineteenth century, small smears on the stones, little visible given their size.
Our opinion: A rare and particularly refined model in the detail of its motifs., A sentimental jewel, of engagement, highly symbolic between the 18th and 19th century.
