"Plate Fireplace Arms John III Ambournay"Fireplace plaque with the arms of Jean III d'Ambournay, merchant, bourgeois of Lyon, baptized at Saint Nizier, April 18, 1610, died December 4, 1691 (Saint-Saturnin parish), and his wife Anne Croix born on 25 November 1616. The cordelière informs us that this plaque was melted after the death of John III during the widowhood of his wife. A dexre: Or a chevron Gules accompanied by two cakes of the same, in the Franc-quarter azure charged with a star of the field, with Sentier: Azure a cross potencée Or, cantoned of 4 croisettes of the same. This plate was probably melted in the early eighteenth S. Its weight is 99 kg.
