"Weapon's Room Stool Attributed To The Miroy Brothers' Firm, Paris"
Rare weapon's room stool, in the « troubadour » style, patina spelter, rotating tray and bronze chains. It shows three jousting lances, crossed and gathered by a shield. Attributed to the Miroy Brothers Maison in Paris which was one leading company in Paris at the middle of the 19th century.

This foundry worked as well bronze as spelter and also coppered or bronze spelter . The combination of those two materials was one of the specialites of this Parisian foundry. It took part into the 1867 Paris World's Fair and exhibited a spelter sculpture in the troubadour style.
