Terracotta "horseman"

An amazing terracotta sculpture depicting the Horse Factor, titled "The Centaur" by Serge Castillo. This artist lives and works in the Gard near Uzès. His works have been presented in numerous galleries, shows and museums. His series dedicated to the exile of the Spanish Republicans was presented in 2006 in Terralha, in Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie (Gard) and was the subject of multiple exhibitions in particular on places of memory of the Retirada (the exodus of Spanish refugees during the civil war) and culminated in an exhibition at the Musée de la Liberation in Paris. Last exhibition in date, Musée de l'Homme in Paris, from 31 March 2017 to 08 January 2018: "We and others, from prejudices to racism". This piece is in good condition, apart from a tip of one of the restored hind legs and a missing fingertip. Drop-in and stamped date: January 26, 2007
