"Late 17th Century Portrait Lichtenberger"Painting oil on canvas early eighteenth century Large portrait depicting a noble lady dressed in a bright blue silk dress enriched with gold-plated lace forming Watteau folds decorated with fine white lace at the level of the forearm , It is represented slightly in profile and fits in an architectural oval opening onto a verdure and a landscape in the clear dark. There is an inscription on the upper part "Thérèse Robitalier Lichterberger" probably indicating the figure represented (inscription also on the back of the canvas). Beautiful period frame in gilded wood with molded motif and sculpted of shells enfolded at the angles. Good state of presentation, rentoilage old, to note a few misses the frame. Dimensions: 100 cm high X 80 cm wide / canvas-chassis: 86 cm X 65 cm.
