Object description :

"Glass Pate Lamp G. Argy Rousseau Early XXth C."
Rare and magnificent lamp in glass paste early twentieth and wrought iron, signed by the famous Gabriel ARGY-ROUSSEAU (1885-1953) Sculptor, ceramist and master glassmaker who contributed to the rediscovery of glass paste as a major art of the early twentieth . The base rests on three small balls urmed with a round plate and a barrel with three consoles in wrought iron and strillé supporting the globe of paste of glass. The latter is decorated with motifs of blue birds on marbled white. Under the globe a support holding a cup made it possible to put gasoline to perfume the atmosphere. The hilly globe was repaired by a proffessionel, slightly visible.
