"Stitched Silk Satin Skirt 18th Century"
Circa 1750/1790 England Beautiful quilted silk satin skirt from the second half of the 18th century. Background satin green celadon brown patterns bizarre yellow green with twill effect. Unbleached hemp lining. Original size fitting with piped slit for one pocket and side closure on the other side. The skirt is composed of 6 satin sheets of 42 cm wide. Good state of preservation and color. Dimensions: height 95 cm, bottom 270 cm. Pros: The 18th skirts are rare in good condition! Satin probably older (1730?) Than the fitting of the skirt given its "weird" pattern. Least: A few halos on the lining without gravity. Silk very slightly altered at the waist. Otherwise very good condition of freshness.
