This screen is in walnut Renaissance style signed many times V. Aimone, it is covered with an embroidered tapestry representing on one side Petrarch and Laure and the other Dante Alighieri and Beatrice. It in perfect condition. --- Petrarch : Francesco Petrarca (1304 - 1374) is a great Florentin poet and humanist. He put his love for Laure into verse. He is the author of the major work Canzoniere. --- Dante Alighieri : (1265 - 1321) - It is a great poet and politician Florentin "Father of the Italian language", he is, along with Petrarch and Bocacce, one of the "three crowns" which imposed Tuscan as a literary language . A major poet of the Middle Ages, he is the author of the Divine Comedy.
