Object description :

"Furniture Of Shepherd In Walnut And Sapin 18th"
Shepherd's furniture from the Alpine pastures. All inside as high as bottom is made of solid spruce fully mounted with dovetails. Doors include 2 beech sleepers so they do not veil. The interior shelves are fixed and do not make the full width to preserve the aesthetics. The locks are original do not rotate but operate with a single spring. The cornice is crooked because the ceiling of the place that served as its refuge was not right. The upper part is embedded in the lower part. The rear is just mounted nailed. The exterior is in solid walnut. The facade, the sides and the inside of the niche are glued: it is a dressing. The shelf of the niche is folded and recessed. The craftsman has attached himself to adding directory colones in the upper part as on the lower part with cut-off sides. It was the only piece of furniture in the room with a single bed to accompany it. The disproportionate hinges are in brass and original. Only the bronzes of the locks are not original. I like its proportion and its history.
