Dimensions without frame: 22 x 32 cm - Modern setting with "museum" glass. This lovely watercolor depicts camels, still saddled, sit in the shade of palm trees, a few tents were set up to guard a sun that in this corner of Great South bangs loudly while two men and djellabahs chèches white ensure the welfare of their animals. The track is not far, it is there, in the foreground, as a call to the still long way to go before reaching ... Marrakech? Timbuktu? The colors, delicate and subtle, highlighting a scene of daily life of East not dreamed or fantasized, but in all its truth, with great poetry. The artist recognized personality as he was the curator of the museum of Agen, and prolific painter, he leaves a work of poetry imprint, sensations of light and color, softness and serenity that mark the seasons of this country agenais he enjoyed.
