Daguerreotype of an old provincial woman. The picture appears to have been shot outdoors before a tight cloth, probably by a mobile operator. Era 1848-1855. The woman is wearing a cap and holding a bouquet of flowers. Format small quater plate (to view 8.3 x 5 cm), but more narrow. Sharp image, good contrast, good chemistry. Very good state. No scratches, oxidation, of fingerprints. Never opened. Framed in a glass églomisé faux tortoiseshell (15 x 11.5). embossed paper around gilded Louis Philippe beads. fixing ring.
