Rostislas Loukine (1904 - 1989) - Le Moulin

Gouache painted on cardboard Rostislas Loukine (1904 - 1989), signed "R. Loukine" at bottom right to 1978 - 1980 in a frame old gold and black representing a mill beside a river on a cloudy sky background.
Gouache painter, born in Belgorod in Russia in July 1904. After the Revolution, he traveled to Turkey, Czechoslovakia, Austria, Bulgaria, Romania.
He spent 11 years in Paris where he became friends with Nicolas De Stael and became a student of Bastien in Brussels.
One day he settled in Bar sur Aube (10) in its property named Bogy Dar (God's Gift) and painted until the end of life in December 1989. R. Loukine Museum in Arsonval 10200 Aube.
