Body forged in one piece, with rolled edge. Wrought iron frame, formed of a headband connected by riveting to the plinth wide by 4 vertical stiffeners and two handles. End hammered decoration of overlapping lines, alternating corrugation. The bottom cap is adorned with a three-blade design and spirals. Origin: Auvergne. Height: 26.5 cm. Diameter: 38 cm. Eighteenth century. Very nice condition. Despite its vague resemblance to a bushel, this object is not a measure to grain. It was used to transport water, worn on the head or on the rounded shoulder, while being held by one of the handles.
