Superb and very rare on the market. 61x50cm oil on panel (80x69cm framed) signed GIUSEPPE SEBASTI (1900/1961) " the Egyptian musician" Giuseppe SEBASTI is born in Rome on 25/11/1900 On the death of his father in 1924, the EGYPT becomes his 2nd artistique country .He will remain there all his life. in 1932 he won the gold medal in 3é ALEXANDRIA lounge. in 1935, still in ALEXANDRIA, he is a founding member of ATELIER (d regoupement artists and writers). he was very active in organizing exhibitions of international artists in Cairo and Alexandria. the French government appoints the Academy officer in 1938 recognizing the merit of disseminating french art in Egypt. Also in 1938, the Municipality of Alexandria appointed curator and restorer of the art gallery of the city. 1st prize of the Italian section of the Alexandria biennial 2é in 1958. He died on the ALEXANDRIA May 19, 1961. Many of his works are in the Museum of FINE ARTS CAIRO and Alexandria and in the Faculties of FINE ARTS these cities
