Very pretty pastel flowers, signed Arsene Chabanian, late nineteenth century, early twentieth. In its original frame. Arsene Chabanian was a French painter of Armenian origin. He studied at Paoletti and then became a pupil of Gustave Moreau. In 1896 he exhibited at the Salon of French Artists where he received an honorable mention in 1900 he also receives during the Universal Exhibition. Exhibits at the National Society of Fine Arts and participates in the Brussels World Fair in 1910. The same year, he received the title of Knight of the Legion of Honor. In 1939 he exhibited at the Salon of French Artists in 1943 and at the Salon des Independants. Dimensions without frame: 46 x 38 cm.
