Object description :

"Portrait Of A Parliamentary"
Male portrait representing a member of the noblesse de robe, or perhaps parliamentary consiller to the king in the second half of the seventeenth century. we think particularly with similar portraits of Nicolas Fouquet and Jean-Baptiste Colbert. The composition of the portrait is heard depending on the use of time. A portrait long hair three-quarter face dressed in black silk and white tie. The face is marked by the task, the expression contenue.L'homme is serious and thoughtful. He comes off a neutral background and fits into the oval size for which the painter has not spared skillful realization of the hand, too often obscured by ease. The portrait dates from the years 1670-1690 reported Gilt wood frame (slight lack) Sun (H x W): 90 x 77 cm with frame
