Nice two-handled cup in solid silver and vermeil inside. Finely carved decoration of water leaves friezes, beads, foliage ... Registration under the belly: "Isabell Marjory Wilson from her grandmother Jane & godmother Brand, 16th May 1869" Hallmarks of goldsmiths John, Edward, Walter & John Barnard (Barnard & Sons Ltd). This stamp was used from 1868 to 1875. Hallmark lion passing for guaranteed money. Leopard head punch to London. Punch letter date for 1869. punch profile of Queen Victoria. VICTORIAN ERA. Weight 238 g. Dimensions: Length 17.5 cm. Width 12.3 cm. Height 8.6 cm. In perfect condition. Marjory Isabell Wilson, daughter of Adam Wilson and Grace Brand, married Jean Baptiste Charles-Felix Egide Marinacce Cavallacce in Tangiers, 26 July 1899. The religious ceremony took place in the chapel Buenaventura. This family owned the castle Marinacce-Cavallacce Oletta Corsica, nice large house typical resort of the rich families of Corsica in the second half of the nineteenth century. Jean-Baptiste Marinacce Cavallacce was successively consul of France in Tangier, in Cadiz and in Kharkov before the post of Minister Plenipotentiary in Cuba where he died in 1921.
