"Pendulum, Tortoiseshell, Golden Bronze, Martinot, End Of Century XVII"
Pendulum tortoiseshell red tinted tortoise and ormolu, with a canted cash and ogee dome entirely plated shell whose edges are highlighted and protected by gilded bronze elements Louis XIV fire pots, sheets acanthus espagnolettes, egrets and chopsticks. The movement is named after its author, Balthazar Martinot, one of the greatest watchmakers of the Louis XIV with Thuret. The Thuret Martinot and hold the high ground in the field of watchmaking. From the late seventeenth century to the middle of the eighteenth century at the latest, it manufactures high-quality movements, which are worth them to receive commands from the Crown Furniture Repository, and punctuate the hours of the King.
