Painter of typical scenes, landscapes, animated landscapes, watercolor, illustrator, poster. Post-Impressionist.
He studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He was a friend of Paul-Emile Pissaro, of Moteley, Leander. He painted in Normandy and Brittany scenes of landscapes, small fishing ports and the working life of the hamlets: the baker, the blacksmith, the carpenter, etc .... His painting is in the vast current French post-impressionist. There he also must illustrations for novels and tourist guides on Normandy, as well as many posters.
