Regional Slope Desk In Various Wood Veneer, Louis XV Period - Eighteenth

It opens in the upper part with a flap revealing two niches and five small drawers with large veneered fronts. This flap offers a work surface of 76 by 34 cm, furnished in its center with a piece of black leather with two friezes, the first on a hard bottom, the second golden. Its facade is inlaid with a two-tone border and a long-stemmed flower in the heart of a medallion with a Burl Ash background and a Rosewood frame. We find similar decorations on the lower part, consisting of two drawers 15 cm deep with pull handles and keyholes in Brass and Bronze. Each of these three openings has a Plum tree surround and is locked. This Petit Bureau is supplied with its three keys. The sides are also embellished with fine inlaid frames and wooden threads, elements present throughout the cabinet, including inside the flap.
