Pair Of Bookends In Regulates And Marble - Late Nineteenth

This pair of bookends presents, on a sea-green marble base, small golden spelter cherubs, advancing naked on the vegetation, treading on the flowers, the leaves and the rock. These divine protagonists, with curly hair and luminous faces, open their arms wide. We find, at the feet of these characters, the punch representing a melting crucible on flames, surrounded by the phrase "French Manufacturing - Paris".
