"Jean Ignace Granville Drawing"
Ink drawing on a cut-out sheet of paper representing the cabin ball by Jean Ignace Grandville (1803-1847). Along with Honoré Daumier and Gustave Doré, he is one of the greatest illustrators and caricaturists of the French 19th century. The drawing is signed, dated 1835 and titled lower right. It is framed in a Louis XVI style gilt gold baguette. The sheet measures 12.5x14.8 cm
