French Winegrower's Knife, Horn, Steel, Marked, Worn By Using, 19th Century flag

Object description :

"French Winegrower's Knife, Horn, Steel, Marked, Worn By Using, 19th Century"

Beautiful knife, which has long been in the pocket of a winegrower from our Côtes du Rhône right bank terroir. Sinuous in shape, as elegant as it is very rustic, the dark horn presents a marvelous patina, enriched by the riveting of a brass sun. Prune blade for pruning and grafting, signed by the cutler: with a starry L.
Everything has been used a lot, horn handle a little cracked, there must have been a spring stop which has disappeared, the blade may have been recut... unfortunately, its owner picker can no longer tell us about its history.
Dimensions = 15cm and 5 cm closed, open: 25.5cm.
