Vase with a swollen belly on a flat bottom, it is surmounted by several stirrups symbolizing with originality the tentacles of the octopus god. Friezes arranged in two circular registers on the top and bottom of the body evoke the aquatic broom of sharks before attacking their prey. This vase of rare, unusual shape must have participated in a ritual or ceremony associated with the marine world. Polychrome terracotta, chips on the neck, a few small micro-cracks from time, rare concave firing defect on the body (please see the photos). all in good general condition.
