Biography Frédéric Brou Born in Mauritius to French parents, Frédéric Brou turned to sculpture and became a pupil of Antonin Larroux (Sculptor 1859-1931) and Georges Lemaire (Sculptor, engraver, medalist 1853-1914.) He exhibited regularly at the Salon of French Artists from 1897 to 1909, to become a member. An honorable mention was awarded to him in 1897 and 1900 during the Universal Exhibition. One of his patinated plaster works kept by the Carnavalet Museum is the monument dedicated to Villiers de l'Isle d'Adam (19th century writer).
