Orientalist Sculpture

Very pretty orientalist sculpture representing an Ottoman warrior in polychrome cast iron around 1880 XIX century. Signed on the base L. Hottot 1864-1905 Louis Hottot' Although little is known about the beginning of his career, in 1885, at the age of 55, Louis Hottot took the biggest step towards success in as an artist, by participating in the prestigious Sociétaire des Artistes, Français. During this time, Hottot presented at the Salon one to two works each year from 1892 to 1898.
