"Pair Of Jean Perzel Modernist Chandeliers In Aluminum And White Lacquered Metal From The 60s"
Superb pair of modernist chandeliers by Jean Perzel They are composed of a cylinder in white lacquered metal, open on the side. They illuminate with a central bulb, diffusing through a holophane glass on the top, a frosted glass plate on the bottom and through the side opening. A cylindrical aluminum strip sifts the light passing through the side opening. The assembly is connected to the ceiling by an aluminum rod with a bail cover and a fixing cover at each end. Bulb height adjustment system inside the aluminum rod. Work dating from the 1960s. Only one is signed inside J. PERZEL. Completely revised electrification. I report some traces of oxidation or lack of varnish on the aluminum parts. The cylinders have been repainted. The frosted glass plates have been brought back. One of the two bail covers has been pierced.
