"Shepherdess Stamped G. Boucault - Gilded Wood - 18th Century Period"
Elegant and comfortable bergère from the Louis XVI period, in molded and gilded beech wood stamped G. Boucault for Guillaume Boucault received Master on December 17, 1766.
The base is made up of four tapered legs with rudent grooves topped with dice connections sculpted with a daisy pattern.
The armrest consoles are retractable for more ease and lined with cuffs.
The slightly curved medallion backrest and the thick cushion testify to a concern for well-being.
Note the balance and elegance of the general composition, thus combining aesthetics and comfort with this very pretty lounge chair.
A complete overhaul of the upholstery and silk was carried out by Maison Germain in Lyon.

Stamped G. BOUCAULT
Guillaume Boucault was received as Master carpenter in Paris on December 17, 1766.
He worked first on rue de Charonne, then on rue Sainte-Marguerite, producing Louis XV and Louis XVI seats of the classic type.
