Gothic 15-light Chapel Chandelier With Opaline Crystals And églomisé Glass Flowers flag

Object description :

"Gothic 15-light Chapel Chandelier With Opaline Crystals And églomisé Glass Flowers"
French gothic bronze chapel chandelier with 15 lights

Dating: between 1890 and 1920

A slender allure for this Gothic style chandelier, coming from a chapel close to the city of Rennes.

Electrified with 9 and 6 candles on two levels.

The solid bronze structure is very precisely and delicately carved. No brassware part (stamped hollow metal) but only solid bronze parts.

Each of the 15 arms has a drop of clear white opaline under a yellow crystal. An eglomized crystal flower adorned with an opaline ball sits on each of the three leaves in the center of the chandelier.

Careful observation of crystals, opalines and eglomized flowers reveals slight differences and indicates hand-made.

Dimensions:
Total height 150cm which can be reduced up to 84cm by removing links.
height of the chandelier without the chain 75cm
Diameter 56cm

Restoration: The original wiring has been changed and is in perfect condition, to current standards. The wooden and brass sockets are original and in perfect condition. The candles are new because the originals were in too poor condition. The chandelier is ready to use.
