Bronze representing Ariane on her panther after Johann Heinrich Von Dannecker (1758-1841). Dannecker is a sculptor of German origin very influenced by the Antique, this sculpture executed in marble in 1814 is kept in the Frankfurt museum, a gilded bronze copy also appears in the collections of the Louvres.
Very beautiful bronze with fine carving and a pretty brown patina.
